My name is Carmen Erazo L’Huillier
I was born in Santiago de Chile in the spring of ’58.
I grew up in the middle of five brothers among the smell of shavings of recently sharpened pencils,
crayons and their shine, the infinite squares of water color, fresh tempera, and their possibilities.
I studied at the Escuela de Bellas Artes at the Universidad de Chile.
Painting comes and goes in my life like rain, sprouts, or watermelons, inevitable.

Two main themes are interwoven in the subjects of my paintings. Africa, the place where the evolution of man took place, and the woman,
who is the origin of the development of humanity.
